Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Follow engineers' drawings and instructions, calibrate machinery, inspect and test welds, and clean tools.
Manage stock levels and materials, addressing any requirements or shortfalls.
Mark out and cut metal for fabrication using appropriate tools and techniques, assembling metal products to meet specifications and quality standards.
Work with various pipe materials, such as metals, plastics, and composites, to execute complex jointing operations in piping systems.
Prepare, operate, and maintain machinery as per company and manufacturer standards.
Mobilise and demobilise equipment, ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
Complete all necessary documentation and records related to work.
Perform general yard duties, including cleaning, maintaining, and testing equipment, handling deliveries, and maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe worksite.
Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
Participate in training and skills development activities at the company’s Training Centre.
Progress to project site work as needed.
Support the wider operations team as required.

CPCS Lift Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced CPCS Lift Supervisor to oversee and manage all lifting operations on telecom sites. This role is crucial in ensuring that telecom equipment is installed and maintained safely and in line with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, an in-depth understanding of lifting operations, and a solid background in the telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and oversee all lifting operations on telecom sites, ensuring full compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
Follow and execute lift plans to support the installation and maintenance of telecom equipment.
Verify paperwork and certifications for all lifting equipment and accessories used on-site.
Conduct risk assessments and implement safe systems of work to mitigate risks during lifting operations.
Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and other team members to ensure smooth and safe lifting processes.
Set up exclusion zones and ensure that all site safety measures are properly established and maintained.

Required Qualifications:

Valid CPCS Blue Card for A62 Crane Supervisor category.
CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test for Supervisors, passed within the last two years.
Extensive experience supervising lifting operations, particularly in the telecom industry.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and BS 7121 Code of Practice for safe use of cranes.

Key Skills & Knowledge:

Expertise in various crane types, their capabilities, and limitations.
Ability to interpret and execute lift plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
Familiarity with telecom equipment, infrastructure, and associated lifting challenges.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage lifting teams and ensure operational success.
Solid understanding of crane stability, ground conditions, and load calculations.

Additional Responsibilities:

Conduct pre-lift briefings and toolbox talks with all relevant personnel.
Ensure correct rigging techniques and proper use of lifting accessories.
Monitor weather conditions and assess their potential impact on lifting operations.
Maintain thorough records and documentation of all lifting activities and ensure they meet compliance standards.
Identify potential hazards and take immediate action to mitigate any risks during lifts.
Ensure adherence to site-specific requirements and meet the client’s standards for all lifting operations.

Hiab Operator

We are looking for an experienced Hiab Operator / Lorry-Mounted Crane Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate lorry-mounted cranes to safely load, transport, and unload various goods and materials. You will be working in diverse environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, rural areas, forest tracks, single-track roads, and remote locations across the Highlands and Islands.

‍Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate lorry-mounted cranes (Hiab and other brands) for loading and unloading goods such as plant, steel structures, monopoles, cabins, and containers.
Perform pre-operational checks on both vehicle and crane equipment to ensure they are in working order.
Plan and execute lifting operations in line with health and safety protocols, considering the unique challenges of each environment.
Properly secure loads for safe transportation.
Drive the lorry to delivery locations, navigating challenging routes such as rural roads and remote sites.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle operations, and maintenance.
Adhere to all company policies and health & safety regulations, ensuring safe work practices at all times.
Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the lorry and crane equipment.
Collaborate effectively with clients, site managers, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Be a key part of the lifting team both on-site and in the yard.
Be willing to operate other lifting or tracked machinery as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Valid UK driving licence (Category C+E).
ALLMI or CPCS Certificate for lorry-mounted cranes.
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
Good knowledge of UK road and transport regulations.
Slinger Signaller certification.
Lift Supervisor – Desired.
Plant Loader / Securer – Desired.

Desired Skills & Attributes:

Previous experience operating a Hiab or similar lorry-mounted crane.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Experience in operating and loading tracked machinery is a plus.
Eager to learn and operate other Hiab-mounted vehicles.
Comfortable working in remote and rural locations, enjoying some of the UK's most scenic areas.

Integrated Services (IS) Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Integrated Services (IS) Project Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing commercial and technical support to our IS department, ensuring the efficient delivery of services in line with company processes and client expectations. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage commercial activities, and a keen eye for detail when it comes to technical drawings and material take-offs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide commercial support, controlling purchase orders and CTRs.
Manage IS commercial trackers and forecasting tools to ensure projects stay on schedule.
Handle the administration and timely submission of tender submissions and CTRs for the IS department.
Attend contract hand-over meetings as required.
Support the IS Coordinator in managing commercial activities for various IS scopes.
Liaise with the IS Fabrication Coordinator to ensure timely processing of drawings/ISOs, enabling the QA department to carry out weld identification and issue drawings to the workshop without delays.
Check MTO (Material Take Off) accuracy before forwarding it to the buying department for material ordering.
Monitor and understand the allowed hours on the Tender Summary for the Fabrication Coordinator.
Identify and document work variations, raising variation numbers and submitting the necessary documentation to the Commercial Department.
Compile costing information and manage the submission of variations or interim payment requests related to specific work orders.
Assist with Tender Summaries and Job Initiations, as needed by the IS Coordinator.
Provide support in the preparation and submission of weekly or monthly client reports by the required deadlines.
Participate in HSE meetings if necessary.
Ensure adherence to our Quality Management procedures and wear appropriate PPE when within company facilities.
Carry out any other duties as required by the company to ensure smooth project operations.

‍Key Skills & Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and respectfully with stakeholders at all levels.
Familiar with technical specifications, QHSE processes, and the ability to read technical drawings and isometrics.
Competent in compiling detailed material take-offs and ensuring the accuracy of such documents.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Positive, proactive, and conscientious attitude, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Ability to work without direct supervision while maintaining high standards of work quality.
